This Saturday last, was the wedding of Zach & Christy (Curtis’ baby sister). Zach is one of the Youth Pastor’s at Calvary Chapel Tri-Cities. Curtis, Sharalee, Joseph, & Carinna were all in the wedding. Hopefully I will get more pictures to share with you all.
The reception was so much fun cause everyone was just dancing and acting crazy and it was fun. Tom said, “I wonder what these people would be like if they were drinkers?” I told Bobi (pastors wife) that, and she said, “We would all probably be mean!”
They had dance contests between guys and gals. Mikey (remember him) did a solo dance, unplanned, to a Michael Jackson song and he was sooo good… Steve (our pastor), grabbed a hat off a young guy’s head and put it on Mike’s head and Mike kept on dancing. Everyone was cheering and clapping. At first everyone was dancing, then when Mike started, everyone gradually just moved aside into a big circle watching him just like in the movies.
Christy (the bride) was dancing with Joseph and they were so cute… Zach (the groom) was dancing with Carinna, then both of the kids. Then Joseph said to Sharalee, “Mommy, you dance with me… and hold me?” So sweet. And Nathan (pastor’s son), almost seven now, was dancing with his mommy. The guys started doing some guy dance that is a tradition with the Lamberson men. Father Lamberson started, then the young men, and then a whole bunch of other guys joined in… I wish you could see the dance. It is kind of like apes marching around to drum music… very entertaining!!!! Even girls joined in.
We came home tired and happy……..
