Seems like a time to remember a song written by Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs for an occasion similar to this that must have taken place some forty-five years ago. Lester and Earl (Flatt and Scruggs) were two of the greatest blue grass pickers that ever lived, most recognized these days for the Beverly Hillbillies Theme song. Here’s one of their songs…

Well I cry when I see that brand new automatic washing machine. Cuz I’m sentimental for the old machine still yet. Cus the old one really looked like a real live washing machine. But the new one just looks more like a television set.
Looks like the old Bendix I used to see at the laundromat. Have fun with that.
