  • Andrew slipped on a wet road, lost control and flipped his Jetta last week.    Praise the Lord he is just fine,  but the car got totaled.    Andrew was bummed cause he wasn't even speeding or anything.  Here are two of the pictures Connie took with her cell phone.  (Isn't life amazing these days?  Use your phone to take a picture!!!)

  • Back from Spokane... here are some pictures @ the restaurant Tomato Street.  We had a great visit with Thad & Jen & kids on Sunday, then a really fulfilling visit with Jeff & Connie & boys & Mandie!

It's off to work this morning... another job interview this afternoon.......

    Blessings everyone

  • This evening we were with some friends who are probably gonna move here... we were looking at houses and land with them.  Here is the one we were in when BlogMom called.  I told her I would take pictures and sent them tonight.

BTW - Curtis framed this house.

The Last picture is what everyone was laughing about.  A one inch pipe was all that was holding up that huge column.  We sure had a lot of fun with these friends.

They even came over and helped us paint Curtis & Sharalee's house.  Friends are sure wonderful.    We laughed so much together.  I'll have to tell you some stories in another post.  Tomorrow morning we take off in the van for Spokane to see Thad & Jen Sunday, and Jeff & Connie on Monday.

  • This is another shot of the building lot... isn't it level?  (see day before for more info on this post)

  •    Tom & I just found this property... and well, we love it!  This is standing on the property where the house would be built and looking out back.  The next picture is looking the opposite direction, but still out back... it is very nice homes in the neighborhood with a golf course.  I think it is too expensive for our tastes... but I sure wouldn't mind doing my dishes and seeing this sight out my kitchen window!

  • This evenings sky!

    Looking Mostly NE

    Looking straight UP!

(BTW - These are called "Momma" Clouds!!!)

    Looking slightly SE!

  • BUTTER EXTREMES

Just a little note to show the difference.

    WE LOVE BUTTER!!!

    Butters

On the right you see two sticks of butter.  Now, a normal household would use the one on the right, but at our house we use the one on the left.  This is due to the extreme butter consumption of this household.

  • Below is the link to Diana Sue's blog site... where she came up with a picture to match my picture of the two of us (see May 9th post).  However, her picture has another person in it.  Guess who it might be if you dare.    http://www.xanga.com/violet004

She seems pleased to be back in touch after so many years.  We talked on the phone yesterday.  She was reminding me it had been Grandpa Harold's death or 41 years since we have seen each other.  How fun it will be to actually see each other again!

Pic of Day:  Greg & Jen's kids having HN Cheerios.  Note:  Mom usually makes pancakes or omelets!

Quote of the Day:  "It is the heart that makes a man rich. He is rich according to what he is, not according to what he has."  Henry Ward Beecher

  • Anybody know anybody who is looking for a steal of a deal on a motorhome?

  • Ready to go to work today... have a few extra minutes... doesn't happen often.

Here's a picture of Dad at church in the park on Mother's Day... we were in the shade, but the shade moved and then we were in full, hot sun.  You can see Uncle Steve on the far side... and well, eerrr part of Mom on the close side!

Went to my old time friend's memorial on Tuesday morning.  It was grand.  The most different one I have attended.  (will give details about that later)  But she had, had a stroke in December, then moved into a home where she could be cared for, since her only daughter lived far away, then on Friday evening she had dinner with three friends.  After dinner her and one friend were laughing and visiting... when she just "tipped over"!  In the hospital she remained in a coma all night.  My friend, Jacqueline, sat with her.  At 6:45AM, the nurse came in, listened to her heart, and said she sure has a strong heart; a classical medley of "Great is Thy Faithfulness" came on the radio and Louise breathed her last at just around 7AM.  She never showed any sign of discomfort or pain... nothing but peace the whole time.  How absolutely great a way to go!  Praise the Lord for his Faithfulness!!!  It is so great.   Blessings... gotta go
