  • Happy Birthday GREG!!!

We are having cake.  Thad & Jen, Greg & Jen are here with the kids.  It will be a fun evening.  I better get back to packing.  Love you all....

  • Tom As You've Never Seen Him Before

I bought Tom this crazy, wild outfit for our vacation.  It is totally unlike him... and he wore it out to visit our crazy, wild friends.  Sharalee said something like, "It is nice, I just never thought I would see MY dad wearing something like that!"  We leave tomorrow AM.. You can call me on my cell phone if you need me... no roaming charges!!!  Yeah!

  • "A free people...

....[claim] their rights as derived from the laws of nature, and not as the gift of their chief magistrate." -Thomas Jefferson    Interesting quote, huh?

A sight no longer seen at the "Frater Compound" (as some people have affectionately called it).

  • Something Caught Fire

....and burned the internet tower stuff causing us to be without any access to the internet for two whole days.  It was hard, but we are now up and running.  I think I am addicted to the computer and e-mail etc.

Here is a little picture from the neighborhood.  Our neighbor does these things.  We pray for him and us and wait upon the Lord.  Not what we always feel like doing, but we are thankful to have that conviction cause it keeps our conscious clear and keeps us out of trouble.  Curtis moved the cones on the right side of the access so he could get his new trailer up to Greg & Jen's house with stuff in it.  Thus the sign and yellow tape and he put metal fence posts in the ground to hold the cones from being moved.  Curtis said, "I just moved them so I wouldn't run over them."

You could pray with us for this situation.  We live on all sides but one of this fellow.

Ok.. now for some cute pictures from the pool last night.... a different night at Mark & Lisa's pool than the former pictures.  Jeff and Ethan were there with us.

I just realized the rest of the pictures I took are movies... sorry!!!

  • Swimming at Richart's This Evening (They are out of town!)

Mark & Lisa are out of town, but they said we could come swim and pick raspberries from their garden, and fresh peas too!  The kids decided to take a couple hours to do something just for fun, a break from building houses.  Tomorrow morning, it is back to moving but for tonight... it was very relaxing.   Thanks M & L!!

  • MOVING DAY HAS BEGUN

He who has knowledge spares his words, And a man of understanding is of a calm spirit.

Even a fool is counted wise when he holds his peace; When he shuts his lips, he is considered perceptive.

    Proverbs 17:27-28  Happy Friday!!

Attempting to "shut my lips"more!    Not an easy thing to do for some of us/me!

Fortunately, my lips can remain quite shut while typing away on this keyboard!

Well, Greg & Jen have begun moving.  They have totally emptied the metal building, but there still remains the upstairs stuff here at this house.... I don't think there is a terribly big amount left.

Jeff & Ethan arrive tomorrow morning to help.  Thad & Jen will be here with kids on Monday.  The kids are staying with us for a couple of days while Mom & Dad go off to love on each other or something.

See it is true the more I say, albeit typing, the more evident it is I don't know much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Sometimes Things Aren't As They Appear and Then Sometimes They Are!!!!

A truck driver was traveling down the freeway. A sign came up that read, "Low bridge ahead." Before he knew it, the bridge was directly ahead of him and then he got stuck under it. Cars were backed up for miles.

Finally, a police car arrived. The cop got out of his car and walked around to the truck driver, put his hands on his hips, and said, "Got stuck, huh?"

The truck driver said, "No, I was delivering this bridge and ran out of gas."

Back to work today..... Have a young man working here.  He is heavy on my heart cause I just feel he is not traveling the right road and I want to impact him towards the Lord.   Tough Love!  All of a sudden I feel so old.  Help Lord... Bless you all

  • Oh, my... am I ever glad my work today is around here!  I think I will actually go outside and play in the dirt!!!  Yes, and while I am at it, I will plant a few things.  It is kind of late, but then this year's weather has been very different.  It has been a lot wetter here.

Here is the motor home before it left to live in a different neighborhood.  I feel sorta lonely for it.  I guess that is dumb, mostly it represents days gone by and some fond memories.

Some days I feel like my life doesn't contain many more days.  It doesn't feel bad or scary.  Is this normal?  Or is it just me?  Maybe it is just a feeling.

BTW - Texans you all have done a fine job of blogging!  I am proud of you all!!!  For now tah tah!

  • Had a very nice three days with Mom & Dad.  Mom, Tom, Ryan & I picked pie cherries and made two pies.  Mom made the crust while I was gone doing something.  Our pies were real tart.  The men seemed to like them, but we (mom & I) found them way too tart for our buds.  We took most of the rest and pitted them put them in a casserole and just added this and that at whim.... then put some oats etc. on top and baked it.  That tasted better.

Today is a work day.. I better get outta here.   Love you all.......
