  • Speaking of Ruthie Rose

Here is a picture of Ruthie taken this very day:

Below is Joel in his new coveralls.  In these pictures, he is just leaving for work this morning.  As you can see, I got several shots as he walked out.  He is ok with me snapping his picture cause he says, I will never see these coveralls looking so clean again!!!  Really.

  •    I was pleased and surprised  yesterday when I arrived at work and the doctor from India... the one I gave the hug last week, came at me with her arms outstretched.  She initiated the hugging.  That was so cool.

Last night Ruthie Rose called cause her battery was dead.  She left her headlights on all day while she was sleeping.  Well, I had just gotten home from work and was making beef stroganoff, so Uncle Steve went over to charge Ruth's battery  for a few hours before she had to leave for her graveyard job.  It worked.  I would do anything for Ruthie.  She is like my own sister to me.

Here is Sharalee's Blog site.  She will probably start blogging again as soon as they get their DSL hooked up.  Verizon is really behind on this DSL thing.  http://www.xanga.com/Shemax

  • By Now You Know

So, I have been good and kept my peeper shut for a long time but now the cat is out of the bag.  Most of you have been text messaged with the news.  If not let me know.

  • Standby for Photographs

This was from last night with Joe & Marilyn, and the Richart's pool.  You see the Richarts are out of town again......

    Banz'    Banz

Joe & Marilyn standing, then on the right sitting.  Retired, living in Arizona without any "commitments" says Joe.  Joe reminded me of the movie "Office Space", when he said that he had decided he didn't want to do commitments anymore.

    Claire     Joseph

Claire on the Left and Joseph on the Right (Joseph's Dad said, "Look at Grandma!" and he looked up and I snapped this.  (I think he thought he was in trouble or something.)

    Isaiah @ Richarts Pool

And Isaiah, who seems to love the water.  Mom caught him climbing up on the kitchen counter trying to make it to the sink.  You think those baths in the kitchen sink when he was a baby is to blame?

(Unfortunately some of the kids pictures didn't turn out at all, and some where just very poor quality.  Mostly too dark).

We had a great time with the Banz', but we were up way too late.  We were sharing family pictures.  Joe had some great slide shows... gab, gab, gab... here I go again...

It is off to work for me today............... bye for now..... love ya....

  • Friends, Joe & Marilyn Banz, are coming today.  Haven't seen them for 5 years.  They were our neighbors and good friends 30+ years ago.  They are retired, and moved to Arizona but we are not yet... maybe someday, Lord willing!   I mean we are not retired yet, not that we are not moved to Arizona yet.

Need to make a big but very nice sign for the doctor's office.  One of the doctor's specialties is Cosmetic & Laser stuff.

    They do:

      • botox,

      • restylane, (cosmetic filler)

      • laser hair removal,

      • chemical peels,

      • microderm abrasion,

      • eyelash extensions & tinting,

      • permanent make-up, (this sounds great - as long as the styles don't change too much)

      • camourflage, corrective & mineral make-up (camourflage sounds good)

      • waxing, etc.

Not limited to just these things.  I am not even sure what some of these things are but I am sure I need them all.  Well, maybe "need" isn't exactly accurate.  I am sure I could use/benefit from all these things... except botox scares me.  And anything you have to do over and over and pay for again and again bothers me.  Even tho' one could say you pay for food over and over again.....   and quite a few other things as well.

There was a funny smell in the office one day (it's a very, very nice office) and the receptionist explained to me that the smell was due to lasering a very hairy man.

  •     The good news on an earthly level today is that Tom gets off at 3PM.  It is because they are doing some spraying for spiders and they want everyone gone.  Apparently a lady got a bite on the leg and didn't know it right away.

Work was good yesterday.  At least I enjoyed myself and seemed to be helpful to those with which I work.  But the one funny thing that happened was that the doctor, who I don't work for but we share the same office, asked me to help out her receptionist sometimes.  So yesterday was my very first time to make an appointment for this doctor.  So I asked her if the 15 minute opening on Monday would be enough time for a follow-up for that particular patient.  She asked me if she could talk to the patient.

I said, "she is on line two."

She asked again, "May I talk to her?"...

I said, while shaking my head, "absolutely, she is on line two."

After she got off the phone with the patient, I said, "you are the boss.  You can do anything you want!"

    And she smiled.

I said, "just boss me around.  I really don't mind."

She said, "I am just not like that!  I am not bossy."

So I said, "well if you want to try it, I will be your guinea pig!"

She just smiled back at me.

    Then I couldn't resist... I gave her a hug.

    And she hugged me back

She is from India.  Her specialty is Internal Medicine.

I think I am the oldest person there.   Maybe I am like the momma of the office.

Joel said this morning, "gosh I wish the kids would move back in here."  I said, "yeah, I miss them terrible too!"  I think I will go get them today so we can have some noise and craziness!   But first I better get a few things done.

NO Kids today:  Greg & Jen went to Spokane for the day.  Curtis & Sharalee went to the Fair for the day.

Here's A New Picture for you:

  • Work, Work, Work... Lord Help!!!

I titled this the way I did cause I am going through a not very creative stage.  I hope it is just a stage and not the rest of my life as though I have passed into the final stages of life which include no creative ability.  It seems like I have tried all the color combinations and I like the same ones.  I have rooms to decorate and FraterFactory jobs to do.  This calls for divine intervention.  Speaking of divine....... go check out JediJo's blog pictures.  They are fabulous.  They even include pictures of Josiah & Jessie plus Ivan & his girlfriend (can't think of her name right at the moment.)   http://www.xanga.com/JediJo411

Interesting church meeting last night.  It was a Bible Study in Matthew but the questions were many and very interesting.  Questions about politics and our role as Christians... and questions about turning the other cheek.  Like a true example given was a mom who was having trouble with her three year old boy slapping her in the face.  She was saying the scriptures say to turn the other cheek so that is what she was doing.  The poor kid.

I work here this morning, and at the doctor's office this afternoon.  I like the light work schedule.  It gives me a little cash to help out but leaves me some time to do stuff around here.  I need to grab a picture... maybe of my one tomato or my one pumpkin.

  • HUMP DAY (again)

Good Day all.... How goes it?  I am home today... puttering around.  Nothing new to report.  Paid bills today and there was enough!  I always think of the sky as the Lord's canvas.  I love the pictures He paints for us.  Don't you?  Here's last night's sky as we were driving home.

  • Dru Cutting Up

Here is a close-up of Dru  from the group picture on 8/20/2006 blog.  You weren't able to see him very good.  So I zoomed in and cropped it so you wouldn't miss this face.

It's a work day and Connie will be here any minute so.... it is latte time.....
