The NWPC Report (North West Pastors Conference)
I want to start by saying, it was a great conference and...... There were lots of flies in the main meeting room.... fortunately not in the dining rooms. They ended up adding flies to the overhead graphic... there is even a fly pictured on the CD's from the conference. I would say that's hanging a flag on it.
The weather was hot and so all the windows were kept open no screens.

The whole Group (minus me)
Enjoyed the teaching of Don McClure very much and also Jack Hibbs. Both from California Calvary Chapels. "Grandpa Chuck" Smith, as he is affectionately called, was also present via live video feed. In past years he has attended in person. Louis Neely was the scheduled main speaker but had a health issue that kept him away. I like Louis, but I think the Lord definitely had things turn out the way that was best. We listened to concerts both Monday and Tuesday nights. The Lost Dogs played first. I gotta admit, I did truly enjoy their music and their humor. I uploaded some video of them so you can see/hear them. They are from the old bands, "Daniel Amos" and the "77's", etc. For now a still shot and the web link: http://www.thelostdogs.com/main.html

The next night we listened to some really young cute guys play really, really loud. The voice of the lead singer was superb and the drummer was excellent. They are called Majestic Rose (I think) and are very new and appear to still be in their teens.
Pictures from the CLAIM JUMPER will be coming.... Ribs, etc
Another piece of information on "The Lectern": Apparently "Allan", the previous mentioned gift lectern giver, was indeed a boyfriend of Louise in 1927 before Elmer came on the scene. Elmer and Louise were married sixty some years before he died. Thought the mystery might be gnawing at you, so I better let you know right away.
