Today we got invited out to look at farm land with Jim St Hilaire. Here are some of the things we saw. (The first picture is a little blurry as we were driving when I snapped it.)
The Road we needed to take was closed due to a landslide.
You can see the cliff left by the landslide. It totally covered the road. A lady we talked to said her mom was driving on that road and was in that very spot about 10 minutes before it let go. She said a man who lives in the house on one side heard the people on the other side screaming
but didn’t know if they were under the falling dirt or what. Fortunately they weren’t. No one was injured.
We were standing on a wooden deck behind a farm house and these horses were just right beside us. It was very beautiful there.
This was the view out back of the farm house. There was an orchard. Mostly apples. You can also see the smokey haze in the sky from the fires over in the Dayton, WA area.
Coming home, the sun was setting. In the pic on the left, the Columbia River is visible & the pic on the right is close to home.
