TOM’s B-Day Celebration (Saturday Night)
We went out to dinner with Jim & Shar, came back to the house, watched a movie, then ate ice cream pie. It was very delicious.
On Saturday morning, we attended the furneral of our neighbor. It was a big service. There was a gospel southern male group that Alfred Vern had been a part of at one time that were very enjoyable. Also, “Alvern”, as he was affectionately called by family, had requested bagpipes play at his memorial service… (dejavu Josiah & Jessie). It was sad & enjoyable too! The pastor said Al’s thyroid quit working and they didn’t know it at first. He also said one can only live 40 days without a thyroid. I didn’t know this.
Well, I have more pictures and a video of Saturday night which I will include a little later, plus some words about the play and Joel, and another water fight.
But for now… I must prepare to go off to work where mountains of undone stuff await my arrival… It is frosty and cold and foggy here… I can’t wait for Spring!
