"Callin' Me Home" by Barry McGuire - Have a blessed Thursday!

And this, my friends, cracked me up.  In the first place I thought it was a cow, and my Italian friends should especially get a kick out of it!  Just click on this link:    http://video.xanga.com/laude35/27eef235968/video.html

  • and this video clip is great... here Dad, enjoy!  Ma & Pa Kettle in what I call "Old Math vs Older Math"

  •    Doing Laundry, making cheese balls....... and answering phone for seminar sign-ups.  It is tonight.  A very high turnout is expected if sign-ups are any indication.

Here is a little video clip from the derby car races... some of the Grandkids were participants.  I didn't get anything real exciting... but you might see someone you recognize in the picture.

  • I think it is about time I update....

Not working, well.... not working away from home, but there is always errands to run, places to go, and things to be done.

My Mom had asked me about the "dot" India woman wear on their forehead.  I told her I would ask the India doctor I was working for. This is what she said.  The India woman has a dot on her forehead, which is make-up and basically means:  holy, third eye, insightful, intuitive, a beauty mark.  She went on to say it is appropriate for the single and married woman, but not for the widow.  She didn't seem to know why it was not appropriate for the widow.  This puzzled me, so if you know the answer to that one, let me know.

Then I went to my women's Bible Study group and it was held in a school classroom.  They had "India" written on the board and information about India written underneath.  Like they operate on the Caste system, etc.   It was interesting since my niece is preparing to go to India soon and be a missionary there.

Groundhogs are found in the mid to northeastern parts of the United States. They live in burrows under the ground and often make their homes (called "dens") under structures such as sheds, decks, and porches which provide for cover and protection.

Went back to work just for one day yesterday.  It was great to see everybody.

  • LOVE vs FEAR (some thoughts of mine and some borrowed from Jay E. Adams)

Love looks for opportunities to give;  It asks: "What can I do to help?"  Fear keeps a wary eye on possible consequences and asks:  "What will happen?"  Love "thinks no evil"; fear thinks of little else.  Love is so busy "doing" that it has no time to worry about tomorrow.  Because fear focuses upon tomorrow, fear is paralyzing and accomplishes nothing.  Love leads to greater and greater love and devotion.  Fear, in turn, begets greater fear.....  Love is self-giving; fear is self-protecting.   Loves moves me towards others; fear shrinks away from them.  The enemy of fear is love; the way to put off fear is to put on love.  Love is mightier than fear.  Love produces confidence.  Confidence is a great reward!   I like confidence... I want it!    May you all grow in love this very day......and therefore get confidence!    (thoughts day after tax preparations)
