May you have a prosperous week as we go on our Corvette Adventure. I packed two Corvette baseball style hats and a band for a ponytail. I like that suggestion from BB61. Will write when we return. Hopefully with pictures etc.

Tom is working still and it is after 5pm. He said there were some problems and he would call me back in 30 minutes to give me a heads up on today. So I will attempt to give you all a little heads up on what I know: On Monday morning @ 6AM we fly out of Spokane to Omaha, NE. Apparently we are purchasing a 2002 triple black corvette convertible from the original owner.
If all goes as planned, we will then take off on an adventurous trip back home via Yellowstone, etc. We are gonna get to do whatever we want for a couple of days. Happy anniversary to us!!! (I guess that is what this is about.) ![]()
The conservative and practical side of me keeps thinking of all sorts of reasons why this is not a good idea in the long run... but then I think of how many years and how hard Uncle Tom has worked and I agreed with myself that he really deserves a little fulfillment of a dream he has had since I met him when he was 16 y/o. (that being to own a corvette)
Now, if for some reason, that plan doesn't work out, we will probably rent a car and drive to KC to harass our cousins for a day or two and then fly back home from KC.
Here it is with top down.
So Uncle Tom sends me an email asking me if I had thought of how to manage my long hair riding with the top down so I grabbed a real old scarf and wrapped it around my head, went in the bathroom, snapped this picture to send back to him. I don't think he liked it too much cause he wrote back and suggested a pony tail would work good.
Notice I didn't look very happy myself as I was thinking of looking like one of the muslim women.
On Sunday morning, Greg, Tom, Myself with the help of five kids... went early to set up two nursery rooms. When the kids started coming, I saw this little girl and I really got a chuckle out of her neclace of pacifiers.
Jen went to a Home School Retreat for the weekend, so Greg was down on Saturday to watch a hockey game and the kids cartoons & play. I got a couple of shots of the girls playing with the Polly Pockets and everyone just laying around.
On Friday night we went to the Calvary Chapel Auction. Yeah, they are finally auctioning it off! About time, I say.... ok.. just kidding. It is an annual event to benefit the Calvary Christian School. The theme this year was Asian and it wasn't attended like usual. My theory is the theme was too much like Erwin... well, he is Phillipino. Even Erwin didn't show up. (This is an old joke around here.
) Other people were out of town, etc. But, other than the food being not to my liking (except for the chocolate on the outside of the fortune cookie). Here are few of the things that went on there:
If you want to see more go to my videos and help yourself. This is our Senior Pastor, Steve Whinery. Being a pastor means getting humiliated as well as gettin to share in the glory at times. At least that is the way it is at Calvary.
Sunday AM study was on depression. It was so good and balanced. I used to hate the word balanced, but now I think it is healthy. I should share some specifics a little later.
Had some of Curtis & Sharalee's kids for a few hours yesterday while she had her hair done.
Here are some pictures
Nina on the Slide Kids Pointing To Spider under Slide
Isaiah, Joseph & Nina heading out to see baby birds. (they look so serious or maybe concerned)
Mom bird yesterday sitting on the nest & babies after mom flew away.

And now for "Hot Tomato" & Bros which are up to 10 now.
Here is the flower bed Ryan was weeding last week. We did this on Saturday morning, before the wedding. Tom is saying, "why didn't we do this 7 years ago?"
BEFORE AFTER
This is the new home of "Hot Tomato" and her comrades which now # 9! Nine tomatoes so far.
Below is closeup of Elizabeth @ Wedding Reception
Little video of mom & baby birds which are in our backyard. It is more visible when I played it full screen. I will put some still shots on of the babies. I think they are doves.
Connie, my post office friend, came this morning. We sat out back and had some good sharing and prayer too! She is such a special friend. Thank you Lord for my special friend, Connie. ![]()
This was Friday night. We celebrated Mark getting a raise and passing his test for work by having an elegant dinner at Wendy's. ![]()
When we exited, this was parked right by our van... next we went for Custard Ice Cream @ Danielle's
Lisa said, "Take a picture of Mark & Tom, they both have their hands in their pockets! They always stand like that."
Mark gave Tom & Jim these fancy electrocuting fly swatters. I guess they are really pretty when you swat a fly.
Then when we came back to the house, we played cards and laughed a lot. ![]()
We have more birds around this place. It is very nice to hear them singing all day long. It is also fun to see them with their little babies running to and fro. Here are some pictures. Otherwise I am doing laundry, like my daughter (http://www.xanga.com/shemax), and I am planting stuff for the garden.
And here is a couple shots of Ryan. He is here today weeding for his grandparents.
What an adventure Holly is undergoing starting today! She is gonna have so much to share with all of us. People who have gone before her claim it is a life changing experience in a very positive way. GO HOLLY!!!
Tom's Aunt wanted a better picture of the two of us after 40 years of marriage, as the last one she has isn't a very good one she says. But, we have so much trouble/fun trying to get a good picture. Here is some of the stuff we go through trying to get a decent snapshot of us.
Another Gorgeous Day here...but the poor peoples in the midwest... tornados and now flooding....
For all you garden people... I now have 8 tomatoes on my little plants. Thanks to Tomato Lady. The first one, remember "Hot Tomato"? She is the biggest, but has several creeping up on her size wise. (Maybe I will get an updated picture to show you)
