  • Another Day, Another Story.......

Today is a work day at the doctor's office for me.  But it is only a half day.  They called me yesterday and the day before and the day before that.  There are some changes at the office, a new name, a new partner.... it is sort of scary for me, but this morning I was reminded that it might be better.

Here is an updated picture of "Hot Tomato".  Do you think she is ready to be eaten?

Here are a couple of pictures of one of our fun activities on our double date night, with our friends, (Shar & Jim) who are heading for Montana today for two weeks.  Yes, we went to Select Comfort at the Mall and checked out the mattresses.  It was a riot... you should try it sometime.  This particular mattress is $4K.  Yikes!!!!!!  The salesgirl said people actually fall asleep in there all the time.  She said they wake them up because, "They might need to be somewhere."  That is what she said.  My advice:  For a good time go to Select Comfort and try out the mattresses!

The guys took the Vette to the Mall, we followed.

Then we gals took the Vette to the Outback for dessert.  That is when the guys in the white Yukon started flirting with us at a stop light.  They were saying stuff like, "Hey, you girls wanna have some fun?" etc.  Well, Shar hollared back something like, "Leave us alone, we are married!" and it went on.  (People were looking on with seemingly great interest.)  The guys followed us to the restaurant and the fun just didn't quit.

We teased and tormented (in the most fun way) our waitress with trying to get her to bag up a bloomin' onion from another persons table that had hardly been touched.  Then Shar kept asking her, almost every time she walked by if she had done it yet.  Then Shar and I started sliding the coasters (we had about 15 on our table) back and forth to each other as fast as we could, all the time the guys were making comments about us being kinda weird, etc.  Eventually, one of the coasters flipped up and hit the table next to us.  We started apologizing profusely, but the people at that table just said.  "No problem, we were just enjoying you guys having so much fun over there."  We talked with them a little about being stiff and not being able to play and have fun.  The one gal said she teaches 4 year olds and so she particularly enjoyed our playing around as she is trying to loosen up a bit herself.  I thought to myself, I never would have behaved this way when I was younger.   We laughed and laughed and laughed.... what a great time!

Here is the video clip from the mattress store.  The guys were trying out a "cheaper" mattress.

Lord Bless and have a glorious Thursday, don't forget to laugh especially at yourself!

  • On a Lighter Note........

This was last Saturday night at a Celebration Party for "Greg Richart" due to his successfully fullfilling his 4 year duty to the Army Rangers, Special Ops.  School is next.  We are all very proud of him and love him a lot.  What a sacrifice he has made.  We have known him since he was born.

Next video clip is very informative all about ribs, animals, etc.

What happened next was so funny especially if you were there.  Mark loves whipped cream and has this special machine for making real whipped cream.  He was demonstrating to everyone how to use it and when he pushed the button it sort of exploded everywhere, but especially on Greg's girlfriend's mother.  It was all in her hair etc.  Wish I had the camera running when it happened.  So here is the aftermath for your viewing pleasure.

I have some cool stuff to show you tomorrow, if I get the time.  Life is fun right now.  bye, bye for now.........

  • this is just to make the sound move on to the next page... so it doesn't annoy... that is all.

  • What's On My Plate & A Party.......

I know, it's hard to believe I am actually writing in here again so soon.  Well, things are gonna get kind of busy here shortly so I thought I better fill you all in now.

This Thursday I go back to work for the doctor, and then all next week plus Monday of the following week.  Also, this Friday night I am giving my testimony at a woman's fellowship.  The other thing that is important for me is to do the program for my friends sister's memorial.  My friend, Connie, from the Post Office... the one who comes to pray together (& drink latte's) every Tuesday morning before work.  She received some terrible news the night of June 1st.

She received a call informing her that her 45 year old sister was found dead in the bath tub.  Marla was in excellent health.  She was an avid bicycler;  even belonged to a cycling club.  She had just married about a year and a half ago a man of good character who had lost his first wife of about 20 years.  He got sent to Canada for work so Marla and his 16 year old son moved with him.  Everything was going great at last report, which was the Monday before her death, and an autopsy has been performed.  What happened?  Hopefully answers will come soon.

Her husband called the family and said he needed someone to come up as he just couldn't handle anything.  So two guys in their 80's headed North to help and bring the body back for a service which is being held here June 23rd.  Marla had a degree in psychology and she worked as a counselor helping people who had drug addiction problems, etc.     In Canada she was studying french to aid her in her work.  She was planning a big trip which she was very excited about.

My friend says I am now the only sister she has left.  Interestingly, my little sister, my only sister, is the very same age spread from me as my friend and Marla were.  So this program is important.  I will post a picture of her as soon as I get it... she was lovely.

Tomorrow I will tell you about the party Saturday night......  it was a blast!  And I have some pretty good video's too!  Hopefully you will smile when you see the pile of ribs & the fall out from Mark's whipped cream machine gone wild.  The Dooby Brother's playing....

  • Yes, we had company.......

J & J, (Josiah & Jessie) as I call them, visited Friday evening and Saturday.  They arrived about 3 hours sooner than I expected cause Josiah got off work early.  Greg & Jen + kids came down, and Curtis & Sharalee + kids, then Christy & Zach showed up too!  They played a game in the back yard and visited and ate stuff.  Then when it was time for kids to go to bed, J & J headed up to Curtis & Sharalee's to play more games.  Got home late.  Got up late.  Yiphee!    Had breakfast late.  Jen invited us for a "late" lunch up at their place.  We had taco salad.  Then J & J had to leave for Spokane.    It was great fun having them.   It had been 2 years since their last visit from San Antonio, Texas.  They are just having their 2nd anniversary tomorrow, the 11th.  COME BACK SOON..........

  • It's About Time....

Well, here is one slide show with miscellaneous shots taken on our trip to get the Vette in Omaha, NE.  ENJOY!   (if the music bugs you, you can mute it at the left bottom.  It isn't nice like Monic's music, but there was a limited selection.  )

  • Update: See Video below as we had a terrible time.........

........ ok, not really!  It was a lot of fun.  We really didn't get to "relax" until we were on our way home when we had a new cd player and new speakers installed in the vette in Ogden, UT.  We just had to "wait" and therefore do nothing.  The radio worked but the cd player skipped pretty bad.  It was $562 to get a rebuilt unit for a 2002 Vette so we just decided to upgrade.  The Bose speakers didn't impress me with my fine hearing skills!    Trip to Spokane in Joel's truck, pictures out plane windows.

    Vette

Tom let me drive it and much to my surprise I loved it.  It is so comfortable and fun to drive.  It is a manual 6 speed.  The seats are awesome.  It is so comfortable that when we got home, after driving for four days to get here, we cleaned the car out, put the roof down and went out for a drive that very evening.  And the next morning we drove up to Spokane for the day.

When we got home Friday evening the kids were waiting for us.  Here is a little video clip of that.  Sorry I didn't take more.

I will add some more pictures and tell about our trip to Rock Port, Missouri to have dinner with our Kute Kissin Kousins from Kansas another day.  Also, I have lots more Vette pictures with different beautiful people inside to share.  Then there is the doll museum pictures to share.... Maybe some slide shows would be best!  Well, it's over and out for tonight.
