  • I start Tomorrow....

...yes, I do start the new job Monday.  I went for the interview with the office manager.  She told me what they need and apparently in her words, I am an answer to their prayers.  It was so interesting.  The doctor, I am going to be helping, has invented a sort of nail to fix broken bones.  He travels all over the world teaching doctors how to use these nails and now actually provides the materials to do these surgeries.  That means I will get vacations often, which is exactly what I need.  The office manager says she thinks that the doctor and me are a good match.  They are even paying me more than I have ever gotten working in this particular field.   (and I didn't even ask)

The office manager also told me the doc is a giving man and likes to help people.  He has been known to take off his shoes at the office and give them to a patient who isn't able to afford to buy his own new shoes.  I wonder if he worked in his stocking feet the rest of the day?    She also said he has been known to treat patients in the parking lot, which they, in the office, frown on....   She said he used to swim across the Columbia River every morning to come to work, but now he just rides his bike work.

Ok... now for the story you have all been waiting for.  JOSIAH's visit.  We have really enjoyed Josiah's visit.  He can blog about the stuff he has done which includes:  games (he learned he is pretty smart, but not very lucky), chasing fires started by lightening, going down to the river, sightseeing, getting hot, fishing, church, laughing, holding a baby... and just hanging out with his Uncle Steve.  Now for some video & pictures.  Truly you can see what a great fellow this fellow is as he is mellow and stays away from yellow, but he does on occasion bellow!!!

  • Thanks Kathy, I wondered what my boy was doing while he was away. Dad thinks he has the sweetist smile ever.

  • The dr sounds like a character-good luck and Josiah is a sweetie and your brother, too.

  • Without a doubt.  That's the look I see too.  I see the same look on a face down here in Texas.  The time is going by quickly thought and I'm glad he is getting to spend some quality time with some quality folks that we Texans don't see often enough.  That makes us all a little happier.    So thanks for posting the videos and photos.  And big congratulaions on the new job!  I  pray you have a wonderful time with it and that they and you hit it off spectacularly, do some great work together, and have lotsa fun doing it.
