  • It didn't happen on Tuesday........Jeff's Party tomorrow

We had guys here working absolutely all day long yesterday.  I did manage to get the laundry caught up but not much else.  Also, this happened in the backyard yesterday.

    The BIRDS

It was rainy here yesterday, so maybe they found a worm or two?  I do not know.

Just glad I had the camera closeby cause they didn't stay real long.

Also, on the video you can hear the guys working in the background.

Too bad I couldn't have gone outside to take these they would have been better.

  • Mint Galore sent the following to me.....

It is very precious.  Briefly, Logan is a 13 year-old boy who lives on a ranch in a very small town in Nebraska. Logan called the radio station he listens to in Houston, Texas and this is what he said.

Some pictures from the Birthday party to follow probably on Tuesday.

  • Today We Celebrate....

...Jeff's birthday BUT it was actually the 10th.  We are going to Spokane this afternoon for the party tonight.  We decided to all go in one vehicle and then Uncle Tom & Auntie Kathy will drive the 1982 Fleetwood Cadilac home.  Thad has been working a lot on her making her like new.  She has lots of new parts, like:

    • new upholstered leather seats

    • new carpeting

    • new window tinting

    • new headliner

    • new vinyl roof

    • new cruise control

    • new stereo and speakers

    • keyless entry, etc.

I will have to get some pictures for you all when we get her home. She was named by Mark & Lisa's boy (now all grown up) the "CATALOG" cause he couldn't pronounce "Cadilac, so we affectionately still referred to her by that name.

This is Elizabeth, about 8 mos old, my youngest grandbaby.  Sharalee posted it on her site with some other darling videos, pictures, etc.  I am stealing this to put here cause I wanted my friends to see it too!   http://www.xanga.com/shemax

  • It actually took me....

.... nearly all day long day before yesterday to go through, make phone calls, organize, and pay bills for Uncle & Aunt.  I had everything all laid out on the floor in front of the fireplace.  Now there is one paper I can't seem to find???

Does anybody else out there hate those computer generated people you have to talk to when you call trying to take care of business?  One recording actually said the call was going to be recorded to make sure I was treated courteously!  Do they have a rude rebel recorded voice on the loose that gets in there sometime?  The only uncourteous thing is that they talk to me like I am a retard and they don't even have a mouth withwhich to speak!  How offensive!!!   I HATE those recorded people who aren't really real people.

Ok, thanks for listening to my ranting.   Hmmm, I feel better.

  • When We Got Home.....

.....this is what we saw.    What a wonderful surprise!!!!  Sharalee did it!    Now to get a tree.    Uncle Tom says wait till right after Christmas, then there should be bargains to be had for something used so very seldom.  Thank you so much daughter dear!!

This was taken afterwards because like I said, it was a surprise!!!!!

  • HOME AGAIN... Home is Nice!

We are safe and sound at home after numerous delays which cost us mostly precious t-i-m-e!  But overall, the time there was good.  I have some pictures but must run to work for a couple hours so will write more later.  I think Norma looks so cute in this picture.  She probably wouldn't like it, but if she saw it with my eyes she would love it!  How precious in her little silk sleeping bonnet!

  • Surprise in the Shower

We are on our way for a quick trip to CA again.  Last night we went up to the shop and the other kids place to find a wreath Norma wants us to bring her.  We weren't very successful in the wreath department, but we did manage to surprise the kids in the shower.

Probably won't be able to update until next Monday.  But maybe.  Ok... on my way to the office for a few minutes then off to pick up the Man for the mad drive to Spokane to fly away.  I keep wondering what I could have forgotten????  Oh well, we will live without it or buy it on the road.  Blessings everyone.... may you be filled with His Joy this very day!  Love  Ya

  • Awesome Day at Work... Not Perfect!

Good day at work.... after doing something stupid and having it pointed out, I did something the doctor recognized as "very smart" so it sort of made up for the "stupid" mistake.  Stupid is my word not the doctors.  I am finding it is good to be able to make mistakes and fix what you can and go on.  Everybody makes mistakes sometimes.  Even the smartest person is still not perfect.  That imperfect person would be me.   His strength is made perfect in weakness.... Therefore I will all the more boast of my weaknesses, that His strength may be seen in me.

I sure love the girls I get to work with.  They are so wonderful and funny too!  I am learning so much.  Thank You, Lord!

  • Happy Birthday Honey!!!

Today is Uncle Tom's birthday.  I want to put a story in here, I just read for the first time.  He wrote it in 1962, when he was but a young lad.  It is a nice story.  He got an A- on it.  I might be able to type it out on Tuesday, but we are getting ready to fly to California again on Wednesday.... so no promises!  Here's me laying one on him.
