  • We had 27 here for dinner last night.  It was so much fun.  We saw a couple of slide shows of our Israel trip.  It has been a little over 2 months now since we got home.  And do to the following, I have been busy.

Here's a little of what has been occupying my time lately:

It isn't what we planned but it is what happened!  That sounds funny unless you know the rest of the story.

I have been reading you guys stuff and commenting on some of them as I am able.  I will improve.

  • Interesting.   You went from the color of a 1944 Ford G.P.W. to the shade of a 1944 Willys MB.     I thought I was the only one who loved the colors of WWII era Jeeps.

  • I love it, how you extended the green, and a nice shade!

  • LOOKS GREAT
    I REALLY LIKE THE GREENS

  • I like it and it sounds like it was an ordeal.

  • My goodness, crown moulding in a contrasting color and painting the ceiling, really are neat ideas.  It looks great!

  • Love the colors and the crown molding.  It is funny, but if I was painting I would never have picked those colors.  But seeing them on the wall, I LOVE them.  You have a good eye!  I could use you.  I agonize over picking paint colors, and always end up dissatisfied with what I get.

27 people for dinner??  Sounds like our Christmases.  But we only have between 18 and 22 people.  Our house is probably about 1/5 the size of yours, though, so it is a LOT more crowded!

  • Wow, you had a great gathering!  Good work at your house too!  Hope your trip to the dentist will be better than mine!

    Have a great weekend!

  • OOOO Purdy! You all did an Awesome job!............Hope you have a Blessed and wonderful weekend!........In Christ's Love......Monic

  • We have some of the same colors in our other house - House of Hope for women.

  • Looks great. Wish I had some of your decorating talent.

  • I don't know much about WWII-era Jeeps, but I like the room. And as far as I'm concerned, a flat-screen TV goes well with any decor.

  • 27 at dinner - that's a lot of people.

  • Great job decorating. Better you than me. I hate to paint. Told the wife 38 years ago before we got married that I don't paint so any painting that needs to be done will be done by her......lol.   I'll do carpentry, plumbing, car maintenance, etc but I'm not painting....period.

  • A guy who "will do the carpentry, plumbing, car maintenance, etc.. but not paint" is TERRIFIC!!!  That is just like my Tom.  I paint, he does the yucky part... masking, clean the brushes... but I must add, he did roll the ceiling for me this time.  He didn't like it though.

  • Thanks for your empathy, I appreciate it.....Tell Tom the ceiling looks good!

  • RYC:  Bills verses pills -lol
