At Mrs. Riis (my HS Home Ec, etc. teacher) House for Dinner
Mrs. Riis and her husband Ken (she said to call her 'Audrey')
Myself, Audrey, and Caryn
Caryn, Tom's sister, and I both had Mrs. Riis only Caryn was a year after me. Yes, she is younger!
Here we are at table. Audrey fixed an awesome grilled Salmon with a Cabernet Sauvignon Blackberry sauce. Caryn brought a delicious potato casserole, and cake. I brought a fruit salad and green specialty salad. We all got "A's"! BTW- Audrey gave me her recipe!!!
Guess who's feet these belong to? Look below and see if that helps.
Yep! There really is a JR Barker. We got to see him, touch him, and talk with him. For real!!!

Wow, cool pictures. I ment to ask you, does Audrey remember you and Caryn? JR looks so grown-up? I was noticing the body language between him and dad sitting on the couch.
she looks so young-your teacher
now I forgot who JR is?
@Shemax - She did remember us, but maybe the annual pictures helped her out. She had been to my house twice after high school.... and after I was married. I was so nervous when she first came as I was thinking she would be grading me, if not officially... unofficially!
@jillcarmel - JR is my only nephew (no nieces either) on Tom's side of the family. We haven't seen him for 8-10 years because he was away at school or fishing or hunting... there has been a rumor floating around that he was really non existant. That was propagated by Caryn's friends who have also not seen JR for a very long, long, long time.
It was great seeing him, but I think I overwhelmed him a little with my excitement and crushing hugs.
The dinner sounds wonderful!
