Out of Town
We were out of town this last weekend. We went to Spokane to visit our two sons and families up there. We spent the morning with our son, the Fireman, and his wife, two sons, and one daughter. We visited at their house, then went out for lunch.
I got such a kick out of their youngest son, Dru, because he was objecting to going out for lunch... his reason, "nobody can cook as good as mom!".
Then for the afternoon we went up to our son, the Medman, and his wife, and two sons. We visited at their house, then went out for dinner. Both boys went with us, even the almost 19 year old.
We had to wait for a seat for so long, we walked to a "World Market" to kill some time. It was kinda cool for me. It is generally about 10 degrees cooler up there than here.
Jeff asked us to go to the movie FIREPROOF with them, which we would have loved to do but it would have made our drive home be extremely late, as it was.. we didn't get home until after 10:30 PM due to the extremely long wait for a table. That's late when your normal bedtime is 8:30PM.
... but I wanted to tell you that I read that Kirk Cameron will only kiss his wife, so in the movie FIREPROOF she was the "stand-in" for the scene that involved some romance. The report said it was extremely romantic and you could not tell it was not the "leading lady" in the movie.... but then obviously, Kirk Cameron's wife really is his "leading lady"!!!
Once again, it is just always hard to say "goodbye" but we are only about 2.5 hours away. PS I left my camera at home.... sorry!!!

my family is always surprized if I don't have my camera but sometimes it's good just to relax and enjoy everyone.
Sounds like a Great time! Our Pastor has highly recommended that everyone who is married, go see Fireproof!.......Hope you have a Relaxing evening!.......In Christ's Love.....Monic
I'm glad you enjoyed your trip. BTW, Kirk Cameron's wife is Chelsea Noble, who plays Hattie Durham in the Left Behind movies.
@CrazyWiz - you're just too smart!!!
I guess it is a gift God sent me through you cause He loves me so much.
Seriously though you do amaze me with the things you know. You are a valuable informant. BTW - I am in a play this Friday and Saturdy. It is a dinner theater to benefit a mission trip to China. Sure hope I remember my lines or better yet make up even better ones.
@AuntieKathy - In regular theatre tradition, it's considered bad luck to wish someone "good luck," so they say "break a leg." But of course as Christians we don't believe in luck so at Cornerstone we used to say "break a yoke."
Break a yoke!
