  • “Uncle Phil’s Diner”

Took it easy this morning, but the laundry needs to be done and I need to do some serious cooking.  Here’s a little look at the Dinner Theatre from Friday & Saturday nights.

Mrs. Winklestein (before costume giving Uncle Tom the EYE)

Note:  Sharalee helped me “ROUND” out my character with pillows.

Mrs. Winklestein (post play diet Sunday Morning)  Several people actually commented on my rapid weight loss at church yesterday.

(I am wearing Norma June’s scarf here.  I really like it.)

Actually it amazed me at how many people didn’t recognize me in costume.  I got a big laugh out of it.  But one of the best comments I got was e-mailed to me from an old friend it said, “Katherine dear,………You were simply wonderful in the production last night.  John and I laughed so hard at you, I am sure you added at least 5 years to our life span….  Thanks for sharing your gifts with us!!!!!!  hugs….XOX”    That made all the nervousness and stress and busy-ness worthwhile.  It is fun to make people laugh!  It is fun to shock people in a good way too!

I am gonna try to load a little of Uncle Phil singing, “Blue Suede Shoes” with the Greasy Spoons Band backing him up.  He reminds me of Popeye!

It actually uploaded!!!  This was at rehearsal, he did a great job, everyone improving with each performance!

  • That Phil is a good singer and he looked young on stage.

    You are so funny looking!

I bet that was fun for you and you could never get me up on a stage dressed up. I’m too shy.

  • The costume was great! I wish I could have seen your performance.

  • Maybe you could tape a small section of your performance? Or is it over?………….Looks Great! Have a Terrific Tuesday!…….In Christ’s Love…….Monic

  • btw, thanks for your appreciation of God’s wonderful artistry!

  • Great fun. Maybe you should go to Hollywood!

  • I heard your performance brought back great memories of kindergarden.  You did a fabulous job!!!!

  • @magvoice - Yeah, it is finished!  I kinda wish I could’ve seen me do my thing.. It would have helped to see the dress rehearsal performance I think.  I might have been able to improve…. or it might have scared me off!

  • Oh, what fun you had, Mrs. Winklestein!!!   Love the costume.  No wonder some didn’t recognize you—–they were all distracted by your boobs and butt!!!!  lol  Are you gonna do another play??  I just remember my high school dramatics class.  I loved being in plays.  I could be someone else!!  Even had fun doing some silly entertaining skits for our Ladies Aid group at church with some other gals a couple times.  I am a “ham” at heart.  Just ask my grands!!
