  • Jill Thrill or Fall Call

Joseph like paintingEdit:  Joseph informed me this afternoon the leaves are falling off the trees and that is how we know it is Fall.  I thought you would want to know.

    Two Things

    1. No Clamatis on the Arbor this year.  It looks plain.

    2. The house changed colors again!  Next time Charcoal Gray!

  • Lovely color, lovely yard… aren’t the fall colors just wonderful?

  • @MorningGloria - Yes, it all speaks to Him!  The marvelous Creator!

  • Is that your house? It looks lovely.

  • So this post is for me!!!!!yeah  I like the color ,too. You have the house in all the season now? I know snow.

    Jill Thrill here!

that grandson is a smart boy to know about fall.

  • @CrazyWiz - Yes, we have painted it twice in less than nine years because the color changed.  They changed the formula of the paint but it has changed again… it turns sort of blue in the sun.  It is a totally different color where the sun don’t shine!  At least they don’t charge for new paint, it is guaranteed, but then we get to do all the applying of the paint ourselves…. I love to paint!

  • Fall is falling!  I really love the style and beauty of the home.  I’m packing my bags!

  • I want my hubby to plant a Japanese Maple for me

  •  @JustMeAndy - Please DO pack your bags!  We have 4 guest rooms waiting.  It would be an honor to have you.    PS Don’t forget to bring your paint brush!

  • I like the turned color.  But then, I am parttial to green being from Oregon at heart.  Next time you get paint, set the open cans in the sun for a few days before painting the shady areas.

  • Great pictures….Fall is so beautiful!

  • @blogdad - or we could just move the house to Seattle!    Does the house really look ‘green’ to you?  If so, v-e-r-y Interesting!

  • RYC: Ah yes, my grandmother. Yes, she was there, but there was always some rancor between her and my father (who raised me). Plus, as much as she loved me, she was not a demonstrative person…still, I remember her love with great fondness and it does help.

  • I don’t think we get to see fall here so it is nice to see the pretty leaves elsewhere!  We have evergreens here that are so sad.  They are a tall stick with a wee little bit of pine needles at the top!  SO out of place in a tropical environment!   Sounds like the painting project is a big task!  UGH!  Have a great day!

  • Just me. See you soon. That Joseph is a beautiful little boy and smart too.

  • Not green exactly.  More of a gray-teal.  Those rich neutrals like your original gray are a mixture of many colors.  Clearly something is reacting to the sunlight.  I really like your trees that have all gotten so big.  You guys really planted well a few years ago and your seeing the results now.  Quite pretty.
